Note: This is a spoiler-free Kingsman: The Golden Circle review It’s no secret that Hollywood is in a down period right now. A main culprit, among other things, is the prominence of the sequel. Many movie follow-ups these days are simply retreads of aspects from the original movie, most not done as well, in an attempt at a […]

Pure Fandom ‘Wind River’ Review
Hollywood is a tricky town. While it’s the land of opportunity, it’s also extremely difficult to make an impression. One successful project is “luck”. Two successful projects are a “coincidence”. Three successful projects, however. Three successful movies in Tinsel Town and you’re creating a trend. Taylor Sheridan is creating a trend.

Pure Fandom ‘Atomic Blonde’ Review
If you’ve seen the trailer for Atomic Blonde you may have certain expectations for the movie. Charlize Theron whooping some ass. The female James Bond. Action. A little dry comedy. Unique musical accompaniment. If you see Atomic Blonde the movie, you’ll get exactly what you may have expected from the trailer plus an excellent fight scene and some twists at the end.

Movie Review: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
Comic book movies are the best thing going right now. They’re fun, they’re entertaining, and they rarely miss. It’s not very often that they’re critically acclaimed, however, on the same level as the Shawshanks and Godfathers of the world. The Dark Knight earned its place among that group, and rightfully so. Now you can add another to that list. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 takes you on a ride that is an Awesome Mix of emotion, visual effects, and musical accompaniment that results in what may be Marvel’s best movie yet.

Movie Review: Free Fire
Here’s a thought that’s not groundbreaking. There are a lot of really serious issues in the world right now. Not getting into it, but you know it. A lot of that can carry over to the movies, with documentaries and think pieces. Those are necessary as well, but it doesn’t take away from one very important fact about Hollywood. Sometimes you just want to have some fun at the movies.

Legion 1×08 recap: Let’s sum up the season
It’s been quite a ride, not only watching Legion with you but also recapping it. Staying true to form, Legion 1×08 gave us some answers to wrap up season one while also leaving plenty of questions for season two.

Legion 1×07 recap: The episode you’ve been waiting for
There’s a reason why Legion was renewed for season 2 in the midst of season 1. There’s a reason why the critics with advanced screeners of the show have raved about it. Legion 1×07 is the reason.

Legion 1×06 recap: Comparing superhero to crazy person
Last week we discussed the show-twisting ending to Legion 1×05, suggesting the entire show is in Sydney’s crazy head. In Legion 1×06 we learned it’s not just Sydney’s head. EVERYBODY IN THE DAMN SHOW IS NUTS.

Legion 1×05 recap: 4 times things twisted on us
When a show’s focal point surrounds a character who is either a mutant or schizophrenic, it’s gonna have some twists and turns along the way. Legion 1×05 decided to pack a bunch of storyline mind[redacted]s in one 66-minute punch.

Legion 1×04 recap: 4 WTF moments from Chapter 4
As we hit the halfway part of season 1, Legion 1×04 took us on a trip, gave us a few answers, and still left us scratching our heads. In other words, it was one of the best episodes of the season so far. The feeling of a weekly acid trip is part of the show’s charm at this point, so we can either accept it or fall into an alternate mind Wednesdays at 10.
