DC may not be as popular as its comic book brother, but there are still some great gifts for the guy or gal in your life who prefers Superman to Captain America. Here are a few, in no particular order.
Welp, a show that promised to blur the line between fantasy and reality did not disappoint. The length the show goes to prove its own self-awareness makes it such an entertaining and interesting watch. Westworld 1×10 drives this point home in a thought-provoking way that provides answers and makes a demonstrative statement.
PHILADELPHIA >> St. Joseph’s Prep running back D’Andre Swift surpassed 4,000 total yards from scrimmage entering Saturday’s PIAA 6A semifinal. Making him the focal point is easy to say, but it’s much harder to execute.
The North Penn defense gave it all they had to do the latter.
Robert Ford can be described with many adjectives. Arrogant, egotistical, and domineering and three of them. The man is also a genius, and often straight to the point when he speaks. The park co-creator dropped another truth bomb early on in Westworld 1×09.
Control is a funny thing. When someone has all the power he or she feels unstoppable — invincible even. Control is also a perception. In the blink of an eye the invincible feeling is wiped away and the same person is left scrambling.
The Harry Potter movie franchise is the best one we’ve ever seen, in my opinion. Die-hard Star Wars fans will tell you to forget about three movies within their own franchise. The Hunger Games flamed out. James Bond’s adventures exceed Potter’s in length, but the film quality throughout the series gives a nod to The Boy Who Lived.
With great success comes great expectation, however. Questions asking if the quality can continue are justified as we jump back into a secret community of wizards and witches.
While most people take Spanish as an elective language in high school, I took French. Now I hear Spanish all over, while I’m stuck watching Pepé Le Pew cartoons to get my French fix.
QUAKERTOWN >> After jumping out to a 13-0 lead in the first seven minutes of its game against Norristown Friday night, the Quakertown football team found itself in a 13-6 game at the half.
FRANCONIA >> Offense is held at a premium in soccer, and rightfully so. There are plenty of ways to score, but finding the key that unlocks a defense can be difficult — especially in the PIAA Class AA playoffs. Once a team finds something that works, they had better stick to it. Lansdale Catholic did exactly th

About Steve Richards
First and foremost, I love anything Philly sports; that includes the Phillies, Sixers, Eagles, Flyers and Union (that’s a soccer team). I’m also a fan of the English Premier League squad Manchester City. In the college ranks, I follow the football, basketball and baseball teams of both Penn State and the University of Texas.
I'm also happy to talk about anything pop culture; movies, TV, music, etc.
Currently, I'm a project manager for a company called Project Life Mastery. It's a company whose ultimate purpose is to grow, give, and support people in reaching their ultimate goals in life. We have a lot of fun while also being productive and helping people. Check us out when you have a chance.
As a writer I'm a freelance reporter for my local newspaper, The Reporter, and PaPrepLive.com. I cover a variety of high school sports on those platforms. I also write a variety of pop culture content for an awesome site called Pure Fandom.
I'm also a co-host of the Prime Time Fantasy Football and Showcast podcasts on Next Level Radio. You can check them out right here
