FRANCONIA >> After not trailing for the first 44:30 of its game Friday night, Souderton was down 30-28 after a CB East field goal with 3:30 left in the game.
Then the craziness started.

Then the craziness started.
FRANCONIA >> Souderton’s 7-0 loss to Central Bucks South Friday night can be boiled down to two plays. After a scoreless first half, Big Red took the ball to start the second half and drove down to the South 11 yard line. That drive resulted in a blocked field goal, however, and the Titans scored on a 78-yard run the next drive. Just like that, the game was decided.
UPPER DUBLIN >> It’s tough to lose a football game when the other team scores zero points.
Alright, that’s obvious. But it’s also relevant when talking about Upper Dublin, thanks to the fact their defense hasn’t allowed the opponent on the scoreboard yet. The Cardinals’ D has recorded three shutouts in three games so far in 2016.
HORSHAM >> Koby Khan can’t remember having a game like the one he had Friday night against Hatboro-Horsham.
EAST ROCKHILL — When a team faces as much adversity as Neshaminy did Friday night against Pennridge, it has to find a way to balance out. The road team did exactly that, with multiple huge pass plays up the seam.
LOWER GWYNEDD — When teams come up with their mottos before the season “adversity” isn’t a word you often see on the workout t-shirt, but it might be most appropriate for Wissahickon. That starts with learning brand new systems on both offense and defense, due to the hiring of Randy Cuthbert as head coach.
WARRINGTON >> Fresh off a District 1 title, the Pennridge boys volleyball team was in no mood for a state-playoffs hangover.
WARRINGTON >> The Souderton Area baseball team outscored Central Bucks South 2-0 Tuesday in its District 1-AAAA playoff game. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough.
EAST ROCKHILL >> After losing the third set in its District 1-AAA quarterfinal match, but still leading two sets to one in the match, the Pennridge boys volleyball team needed its leaders to step up.
EAST ROCKHILL >> Sitting at the top of the Suburban One League Continental Conference, the Pennridge boys volleyball team wanted to make sure it stayed there against a quality Central Bucks East team that came in just one game back.
