About

Steve Richards head-shot-2Hi and thanks for visiting my site. Whether it was by accident or not, I hope you enjoy it. Let me tell you a little bit about myself

First and foremost, I love anything Philly sports; that includes the Phillies, Sixers, Eagles, Flyers and Union (that’s a soccer team). I’m also a fan of the English Premier League squad Manchester City. In the college ranks, I follow the football, basketball and baseball teams of both Penn State and the University of Texas. All of that may seem a bit all over the place, but I have my reasons for liking all of those teams I can promise you that. If you need to know why feel free to contact me; I love talking sports with anyone who is interested.

I’m also into anything Pop Culture, really. I can talk movies, TV shows and actors all day and I’m always looking for some new music to get into. Other than country. Sorry.

I’m an avid golfer and one of the things I hate the most about living on the east coast is that I can’t play golf year-round.

I am from Hatfield, PA; a small town famous for its hot dogs that sits about 45 minutes outside Philadelphia. I went to North Penn High School, which may be known for their football and swimming programs to some, but mainly because it is one of the biggest high schools on the east coast. My graduating class was 1,100.

Being no stranger to large graduating classes, I went from North Penn to Penn State University. I graduated from State College in 2011 with a degree in Sports Journalism and a minor in Kinesiology. There I also started with my journalism ambitions as an intern for the Centre Daily Times as well as a few fantasy sports Web sites.

Currently, I’m a project manager for a company called Project Life Mastery. It’s a company whose ultimate purpose is to grow, give, and support people in reaching their ultimate goals in life. We have a lot of fun while also being productive and helping people. Check us out when you have a chance.

As a writer, I’m a freelance reporter for my local newspaper, The Reporter, and PaPrepLive.com. I cover a variety of high school sports on those platforms. I also write a variety of pop culture content for an awesome site called Pure Fandom.

I’m also the co-host of two podcasts on Next Level Radio. They are the fantasy football podcast Prime Time Fantasy Football and a pop culture show called The Showcast. We find a way to bring those topics to you in a fun and unique way on a weekly basis – check it out and let me know what you think.

I really enjoy meeting new people, seeing what they’re all about and having conversations about anything really, not just sports. Please don’t hesitate at all to contact me if you’d like to create a connection. You can also find me on Twitter right here.

Thanks again for coming – hope to see you as a repeat visitor to the site.

– Steve
